Why it is on this guide

Breckenridge is one of the 21 certified places promoted through the official Colorado Stargazing Trail. I keep the certification and the visitor experience separate: certification tells us something important about lighting and stewardship, while this page asks what a traveler can actually do here after dark.

What nearby lodging, food, fuel and restrooms make the stop practical.
How moonlight, local lighting, weather, elevation and horizon affect the experience.
